White Sauce



  1. Melt butter in small saucepan. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened.
  2. This is very versatile. Adding bouillons (and reducing salt) will make gravies. Add cubed hard boiled eggs for creamed eggs on toast. Add cheese (and reduce salt) to make a cheese sauce to serve over broccoli. Etc.
