White Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- dash pepper
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Melt butter in small saucepan. Whisk in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened.
- This is very versatile. Adding bouillons (and reducing salt) will make gravies. Add cubed hard boiled eggs for creamed eggs on toast. Add cheese (and reduce salt) to make a cheese sauce to serve over broccoli. Etc.
