Texas Sheet Cake



  1. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt; add to cocoa mixture.
  2. Pour into a greased 15x10x1 baking sheet.
  3. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpickk inserted near the center comes out clean.
  4. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat.
  5. Whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Pour over warm cake.
  6. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. In a large saucepan (or microwave bowl), bring 1 c butter, water, and 1/4 c cocoa to a boil. Remove from the heat.
  8. Stir in sour cream or yogurt until smooth.
  9. In a saucepan or microwave pot, melt 1/2 c butter; add milk and 3 T cocoa.
