Onion Rings

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- about 1 quart oil for frying
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, whisk the first five ingredients.
- Separate onion slices into rings. Dip rings into batter.
- In a deep fat fryer, heat 1 inch of oil to 375°. Fry onion rings in batches for 1 to 1 ½ minutes on each side or until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
