Microwave Caramels

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- dash salt
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 2 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup butter
Instructions
- Butter a 2-quart microwave bowl. Put butter in. Microwave 1-2 minutes on MEDIUM HIGH.
- Blend in sugar, corn syrup, condensed milk, and salt. Cover with Saran Wrap. Microwave 10 minutes on HIGH.
- Uncover. Stir well. Microwave 10-15 minutes on MEDIUM HIGH, testing for firm ball.
- Add vanilla. Pour into buttered 9x13" pan. Cool. Cut into squares. Wrap in squares of waxed paper.
