Lasagna

Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 8 oz canned tomato sauce
- 6 oz canned tomato paste
- 1 tsp each dried basil, oregano, sugar
- 24 oz cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 Tbsp dried parsley
- 2 large eggs
- 7 dry lasagna noodles
- 16 oz shredded mozarella
Instructions
- Brown ground beef and sausage together with onion and garlic. Drain. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, oregano and sugar. Set aside.
- In blender, blend cottage and Parmesan cheeses, parsley, and eggs until smooth and well-blended.
- Spray bottom of 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Spread about ¼ cup of meat and tomato mixture on pan’s bottom. Lay lasagna noodles over spread sauce.
- Spread cottage cheese mixture over noodles. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella. Top with another layer of noodles.
- Spread meat sauce over noodles. Top with remaining mozzarella. Spray aluminum foil with nonstick cooking spray and cover pan of lasagna with foil.
- Bake at 350 for 1 hr. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 mins. Remove from oven and wait ten minutes before serving.
