Horchata
Ingredients
- to taste sugar
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 3 sticks cinnamon
- 1 c white rice
- 1 gal water
Instructions
- Mix well and add sugar to taste.
- Soak rice and cinnamon in 1/2 gal water overnight.
- Mix both cans milk and other 1/2 gal water and chill in fridge overnight.
- Throw away cinnamon sticks, sift rice out of the water, and blend rice and a little bit of the water for about 3 minutes.
- Add the rest of the rice water to the blender and blend for a couple seconds.
- Line colander with double-layered cheesecloth and then pour blended rice water into the milk and water mixture.
