Caramels (Stovetop)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in heavy 3 qt. saucepan.
  2. Add brown sugar and salt; stir till thoroughly combined.
  3. Stir in corn syrup, mix well.
  4. Gradually add condensed milk, stirring constantly.
  5. Cook and stir over medium heat until candy reaches firm ball stage, about 12-15 mins.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
